In this photo, there is a book as an iceberg, a sinking cruise ship and people floating on the ocean. I chose this photo because I love reading, and i think that this photo is very accurate at describing what is happening when one reads a book. For example, in this drawing, the people on the cruise ship only saw the tip of the iceberg and think that they know what is going on. However, the iceberg actually has a lot of depth that the people don’t see, and so it crashed and is sinking. This also applies to reading, some people read the book and finish it, but only sees the tip, the very brief meaning of the book, and doesn’t see the deep bottom of the book. I think that this piece of art is trying to tell us that you don’t judge something by how it looks, just because it is very small in the surface, doesn’t mean that it is very small, just like the iceberg. just like the famous quote, ‘’Don’t judge a book by its cover’’.
